J.J. Abrams has been very secretive about his new film, Super 8. Very little is known about the screenplay he wrote. However, details about the sci-fi project are starting to come out; the main cast members were just revealed. The movie will star Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights) and Elle Fanning (Somewhere). Also part of the cast are Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, and Gabriel Basso.
J.J. Abrams is well known for his series Lost. He created the TV shows Alias, Fringe, and Undercovers. Abrams also directed the films Mission: Impossible III and Star Trek, and produced Cloverfield. He will be directing Super 8, while Steven Spielberg is producing. All will be revealed in the summer of 2011, when Super 8 hits theaters.
