Black Swan is a psychological thriller about dancers in a New York City ballet company. It stars Natalie Portman as Nina, a talented dancer whose whole life is her job, pushed by her zealous mother. Lily, played by Mila Kunis, is a new addition to the company, and Nina's biggest rival for the lead in Swan Lake. Just as the lead role is both the White Swan and Black Swan, innocence and grace vs. guile and sensuality, Nina and Lily form a gradual friendship with this dichotomy as part of their twisted rivalry.
With Darren Aronofsky directing (Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler), I have no doubt this will be an exciting and moving film. This film is set to open December 1, 2010.
