'Johnny English' Sequel in the Works, Dominic West and Gillian Anderson Join Cast

Hey, remember that 2003 spy spoof movie Johnny English? It's ok, most people don't, so here's a brief recap: Rowan Atkinson (a.k.a. Mr. Bean) parodies James Bond films with his incompetent, know-nothing character, Johnny English.

Well there's more spy genre parody to be had, as the sequel Johnny English Reborn is in the works. Atkinson will return as the bumbling title character, where he must try to stop an assassination plot against a Chinese premier. Joining the cast is Gillian Anderson, Dominic West (The Wire), Bond girl Rosamund Pike (Die Another Day), and upcomer Daniel Kaluuya. The movie, directed by Oliver Parker and written by Hamish McColl and William Davies, starts shooting this week.

While we're excited to see Gillian Anderson back onscreen again, does it have to be for a film that probably doesn't deserve a sequel in the first place?
