Opening Today: Abduction






















Taylor Lautner gets his first post-Twilight starring role in the thriller Abduction, opening in theaters today. The film also stars Lily Collins, Sigourney Weaver, Maria Bello and Alfred Molina.

Also opening this week is Moneyball, adapted from the book of the same name.  The film is the true story of Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane and his attempts to build a winning Major League Baseball team on a small budget.  The film stars Brad Pitt (as Beane), Jonah Hill and Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Captain America Tops Harry Potter


Mavel Comics' Captain America: The First Avenger made $65.8 million this weekend to knock Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 out of the #1 spot at the box office. The final chapter in the Potter saga raked in $48 million to bring its overall total to $274 million.

This is the teaser poster for Christopher Nolan's third Batman installation: The Dark Knight Rises. As you can see, it doesn't reveal much. What we do know is that the film will star Christian Bale reprising his role as Batman, Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Tom Hardy as Bane.

Bronx Teen Stood In For Baby B.I.G.


Keithroy Yearwood, an 18 year old from the Bronx, NY says he is the baby on the cover of Notorious B.I.G.'s "Ready to Die" album and the poster shown above.

Yearwood's mother showed baby pictures of her son and papers from a child modeling agency to the New York Daily News to prove the claim.

He was paid $150 for the shoot. The album has gone on to sell more than 3 million copies.

'The Lincoln Lawyer'- Matthew McConaughey stars as a struggling defense attorney who accepts a major case only to find out he is not only in over his head, he may be in the fight of his life.

NFL Conference Championship Weekend


The NFL Conference Championships are Sunday. The AFC Championship features the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers will face off for the NFC crown.

We're going out on a limb and predicting that the Jets and Packers will face off in an all Wild Card Super Bowl.

50th Anniversary of JFK's Inaugural Address


50 years ago today, President Kennedy implored Americans to "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what can you do for your country."

We think its still a pretty powerful speech today.
