Sophia Coppola's new film Somewhere has released the first video clip for the movie, which stars Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning (Dakota Fanning's younger sister). The clip shows an awkward interaction between Dorff and his film-within-a-film co-star Michelle Monaghan.
The film stars Dorff as the Hollywood bad boy Johnny Marco, who receives an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter Cleo, played by Fanning. Their meeting causes him to examine and change his lifestyle.
This is Sophia Coppola's newest film, after other great movies including The Virgin Suicides and Lost in Translation. Some scenes from the film are said to be inspired by Coppola's own childhood experiences with her father, the great filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. While this video is a clip from the movie, not a teaser or a trailer, it still leaves us intrigued for more. The film is set to be released on December 22, 2010.
