A few days ago, rumors were flying that Justin Bieber was getting a 3-D concert movie/biopic, directed by Davis Guggenheim of An Inconvenient Truth. Oh, the jokes to be had. Unfortunately, those rumors were not true. While Bieber still plans to make the film, Guggenheim will not be directing.
The director, who was never attached to the project, officially declined. Instead he is working on promoting his upcoming Waiting of Superman, a documentary about failures in the American public educational system. Sounds like more important work than cutting together a bunch of "Oh baby, baby" clips together.
So Bieber, along with Paramount and its MTV Films division, are still searching for someone to run the project. It will now either be two co-directors or one director and a strong producing team. They still plan to release the film on Valentine's Day weekend of next year.

But now I can't blame global warming on Bieber Fever!
