'X-Men: First Class' Changing Because of 'Inception'

They say great minds think alike. That may be the case, but director Matthew Vaughn doesn't want people to mistake "thinks alike" with "copies popular ideas". The director of the upcoming X-Men: First Class is changing a scene in the movie after viewing Christopher Nolan's Inception.

Vaughn told the L.A. Times: "I saw Inception, which I loved, but my heart sank when I saw that a few of the ideas we had were up [on the screen]. So it's either leave it in and look as if you're copying or change things. We completely ripped out about 12 pages of the script and storyboards." The sequence in question involved fight scenes in rotating rooms, and Professor X and other mutants battling in a dream-space.

X-Men: First Class and its modified, not-at-all-like-Inception scenes are set to open June 3, 2011. It stars James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Caleb Landry Jones, Nicholas Hoult, Alice Eve, and Edi Gathegi.
