The members of Fall Out Boy have confirmed that they are taking a break, a very permanent break. This comes after months of speculation as to the status of the band.
Bassist Pete Wentz confirmed on his blog yesterday "as far as i know fall out boy is on break. (no one wants to say the 'h' word)". Frontman Patrick Stump had an even stronger statement, saying "I'm not in Fall Out Boy." The other members have since issued similar comments as to moving on.
Maybe this means Wentz will be spending more time with his family - wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and their one-year-old son. He also recorded a track for the Alice in Wonderland soundtrack with Mark Hoppus of Blink 182. Stump has been working on a solo album.
