The Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup last night, defeating the home team Philadelphia Flyers with a stunning overtime win in Game 6. The win broke their 49 year drought since their previous championship in 1961.
Patrick Kane scored the goal with 4:06 into overtime, leading them to their 4-3 victory. After a brief review, it was clear the goal counted and the Blackhawks were in fact the new Stanley Cup champions.
