Winter Olympics Kick Off Tomorrow

The 2010 Winter Olympics, held in Vancouver, kick off tomorrow. The Opening Ceremony starts at 6:00pm PT. They Olympics will run through the 28th, giving us two weeks of exciting winter sports. And curling.

Video: New 'Toy Story 3' Trailer

Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the other characters of Toy Story are back for Toy Story 3. This new trailer has us excited about the latest movie from Disney and Pixar, due out June 18, 2010.

Pixar has come out with some great movies lately, particularly Wall-E and Up. However, if this film lives up to its trailer, it should prove to be yet another captivating adventure.

Video: Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter Quite Mad

Johnny Depp proves to make quite the Mad Hatter indeed. Check out this new featurette, released today by Walt Disney Pictures. It shows just how great a fit Johnny Depp is as the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Also featured are some new scenes from the film, as well as some behind-the-scenes footage and Johnny Depp explaining more about his character.

We were already excited about this movie, which comes out March 5. Between new videos like this one and previews like the one aired during the Super Bowl, our excitement only grows.

Tom Cruise Signed On for 'Mission Impossible IV'

Tom Cruise will again star as Ethan Hunt in the latest installment of Mission Impossible. He will also be producing the film, along with J.J. Abrams, the director of M:I3. The film is set to be released over Memorial Day weekend 2011.

There had been some speculation than Cruise would play a smaller role, making way for a new, younger star. However, he is not handing his starring role over to anyone in this one. (Ahem, ego.)

Mission: Impossible IV should still prove to be an exciting action thriller, with more twists and turns than an episode of 24.

Christopher Nolan to Oversee New 'Superman' Movie

Christopher Nolan, director of The Dark Knight, has a new superhero movie project in the works: Superman. It is unlikely Nolan will be directing this new movie. Instead he has been chosen by Warner Bros. to act as a "godfather" to the film, performing more as a mentor to help the project get off the ground. This movie will be another reboot of the Superman universe, after a poor reception of the previous relaunch, Superman Returns.

Christopher Nolan is also working on a script for Batman 3 with David Goyer and brother Jonah Nolan. There is no production or release date yet for this latest film in the Batman series, which is set to be a sequel to The Dark Knight.

Saints Win Super Bowl!

The New Orleans Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts in an exciting game, giving the Saints their first Super Bowl win.

After a 10-0 deficit in the first quarter, the Saints came back to beat the favored Colts with a final score of 31-17. Saints' quarterback Drew Brees showed impressive accuracy, which help garner him the Super Bowl MVP award. Meanwhile normally on-target Peyton Manning threw a late pick in the game, which helped clinch the win for the Saints.

Other notes from the game: The Who are really old.

Also, we thought the Super Bowl ads were a little lacking this year. There were a few that got some chuckles (the Bud Light auto-tune spot comes to mind), but overall it wasn't an impressive showing. And don't get us started on the multiple commercials telling guys to 'man up.'

Super Bowl Preview

We hope everyone is ready for Super Bowl Sunday! This culmination of the NFL season takes place on Sunday, when the New Orleans Saints take on the Indianapolis Colts in Miami. The game is set to start at 6pm ET. With two stellar quarterbacks leading their teams, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees are bound to provide a captivating game.

Of course, the Super Bowl isn't all about sports... there's also the ads. Perennial favorites like Budweiser and GoDaddy have bought spots, along with a list of other companies. The U.S. Census Bureau also purchased one 30-second spot, which is sure to be awesomely funny (ha!).

And as far as the musical performers go, The Who will be performing at the half-time show. Before the game starts Carrie Underwood will sing the National Anthem, and Queen Latifah will perform America the Beautiful.

We're going to call the Colts to win this one, as much as our heart is behind the Saints. Who Dat!
