Video: First Full Jonah Hex Trailer

After giving us a teaser of a preview the other day, we now get the first full trailer for Jonah Hex. It shows the origins of the scarred main character, played by Josh Brolin. It also highlights the hot, and southern-accent drawling Megan Fox. Some of the weapons featured are pretty impressive for a western, but I guess that's what happens when you add a comic book element.

The film is due out in theaters June 18, 2010.

Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day!

Originally started on April 22, 1970 by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in, it is now celebrated around the world on April 22. It is designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment.

So maybe walk, bike, or take the bus instead of driving today. Or recycle those cans you usually throw out. Or skip the steak for today.

Next James Bond Film Delayed

The next James Bond movie has been delayed indefinitely. Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions made the announcement, citing the uncertainty of the future of MGM. They gave no indication of when development will resume, nor did they give a new release date for the 23rd Bond film, originally scheduled to be released 2011/2012.

This definitely disappoints us, because we really liked the two most recent Bond films, Quantum of Solace and especially Casino Royale. Hopefully they will resolve this soon, and Daniel Craig can play 007 again.

Joss Whedon to Direct The Avengers

Joss Whedon is in talks to direct the upcoming superhero movie The Avengers. The Marvel Comics characters will include recent movie favorites Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and Nick Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D. leader (Samuel L. Jackson).

The Avengers is set to be released in May 2012. Before it comes out, we will see these superheroes in their own movies: Iron Man 2 comes out April 30, The First Avenger: Captain America opens July 2011, and Thor starts in May 2011.

Whedon is known for his great TV shows, both long running and prematurely canceled. It will be great to see what he can do on the big screen, especially with such an all-star cast.

'Family Guy' Creator & Writers Move to Live-Action

Seth MacFarlane, the man behind Family Guy, is moving to the big screen.

He will be directing Ted, a film about a man and his talking teddy bear. This R-rated film from Universal Pictures marks MacFarlane's directorial debut. He will also supply the voice for the teddy bear (not very surprising). The movie will be co-written by Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, Macfarlane's co-writers and collaborators on Family Guy.

If this creative team can make the jump from animation to live-action, and from TV to the big screen, this movie hold a lot of promise.

Conan O'Brien Moving to TBS

Conan O'Brien announced today he returning to late night TV... on TBS. He will host an hour-long show that starts at 11pm beginning this November.

This news comes despite the fact that O'Brien was in negotiations with Fox. Some of the reasons that may have derailed the Fox deal include the inability to guarantee an 11:00 start time for his show, and less money and flexibility with control over his show.

The announcement comes on the same day that Conan starts his nationwide live comedy tour.

"In three months I've gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I'm headed to basic cable," O'Brien said. "My plan is working perfectly."

Robert Pattinson to play Kurt Cobain?

Robert Pattinson, star of Twilight and universal teen heartthrob, is set to play Kurt Cobain in an upcoming biopic. Cobain's widow Courtney Love has been in regular contact with Pattinson, and is rumored to have a key role in the Universal Pictures project. Love's first choice to play the Hole frontwoman is said to be Scarlett Johansson. It is also rumored that David Fincher will direct the film.

Is Pattinson up to play the part? Hopefully this will mean a whole new generation of Nirvana fans.

Duke Wins NCAA National Chamionship

In a very close game last night, Duke beat out Butler to win the NCAA Tournament in Indianapolis.

There were several lead changes throughout the night, and neither team ever led by more than six points. The final score was Duke Blue Devils 61, Butler Bulldogs 59. Butler had a chance to win it with a last-second almost-historic half-court shot that bounced off the glass and rim.

Both teams played with an incredible amount of heart and passion, which gave basketball fans an exciting, down-to-the-wire game.
